Here’s Steve with a fun little 5’8″ single fin arch tail Pendoflex. This design of this board is inspired by boards we rode in the late 1960s and early 1970’s. Steve modified a template from one of our old boards and shaped this one using a contemporary thickness foil, rocker and rails.

Wow, what a nice board!
Pendo-flex-stubbies, such a natural use for the whole design technology.
Everyone else was using narrow stringers or “disappearing stringers” or no stringers, shaping them ultra thin, to get the flex!

Hey Bruce,
Thanks for your post, and for your kind words. Yes, they’re really fun!
Steve experimented with the short stringers and tapered stringers in the 70s and found that he wanted more control over the feeling he was looking for and more longevity.
