Hello there! Steve built a beautiful Pendoflex single fin egg knee machine with a special flex fin for Wolvey. Back in the seventies, Wolvey was known as one of the first to regularly pull multiple El Rollos on a single wave at the slab reefs in San Diego and elsewhere. His surfing inspired some of us foot surfers to try tube rolls as well, on our fishes. Thanks to Warren Bolster for the photos of Wolvey surfing. Knee-riding is still well here in San Diego, much respect!
Aloha and Cowa-flexit!

Got my Pendoflex into some nice waves today. It works great. Very different feel to my fish kneeboards. A different dance for sure, but really, really fun. I love the way it leans over on a hard bottom turn. Very shell-like. It’s a nice hybrid between a full shell and a regular stiff board. The fin is perfect and the board paddles great. Now, I’ve just got to re-learn how to surf rail-to-rail.
Steve, this is a very successful design. I think the deformed elastic surface of the bottom, under load, is nearly optimum. It flys. Cut-backs are nice and snappy too. Thank you for making this board. I hope you make more. I’ll want another one at some point.
