Hello, there. This morning began with calm overcast skies and dark clouds looming on the horizon, as a slow moving storm was approaching. Today we’re working in the studio and the shaping room, staying warm and cozy on this blustery, rainy day.
On Sunday May 15th we were honored to participate in a benefit for the educational exhibits at Kellogg’s Park in La Jolla Shores, organized by Friends of La Jolla Shores. Steve built a beautiful 5’10” Pendoflex quad fish and I painted J.J. the baby whale on the deck. The benefit was held at the Birch Aquarium and in the live auction our board was won by a very nice La Jolla Shores family. We are very happy to meet them and look forward to spending some water time with them. One of the presentations showed the rescue of J.J. the baby gray whale in Marina Del Rey and the miracle of how she was nursed back to health by the caring marine physicians and assistants at Seaworld in San Diego and then released back to her home to swim free in the open sea. The evening was a great time and it was wonderful to see good friends.
Have a great day and remember to love. Aloha and Cowa-flexit!
